FUNCTIONS
ADAPTS TO WAVE POWER
Motion Core assistance is intelligent: it detects your takeoff and automatically stops while you're surfing, but continues if it detects that the waves aren't powerful enough. If the wave is too soft, the electric assistance will give you the boost you need to keep riding. You can ride waves in all conditions, including those that are normally too small to take off.
AUTOMATICALLY DETECTS FALLS
If you fall or jump off your board, the Motion Core assistance stops automatically in seconds. You can catch your board easily and get back to the line-up.
VARIOUS CONFIGURATIONS (ADJUSTABLE WITH THE APPLICATION)
- Take off: the assist just gives you the push you need to catch the wave, but stops as soon as the wave pushes your board. However, the assistance remains active if the wave's thrust is insufficient (e.g. a very small or soft wave).
- Standard: the assistance accompanies you until you take off and until you have gained enough speed to ride the wave with confidence, then stops (unless the wave is too small or too soft, in which case it continues to push).
- Full ride: the assistance remains active most of the time, even in medium waves. The motor only stops in strong waves that exceed the assistance.
These are indications to guide you, but as always, it's the ocean that decides and the surfer who adapts! Try out the different settings to get an idea and learn to choose what suits you best according to the waves of the moment. The assistance also switches off automatically when it detects that you are no longer on your board, a few seconds after the propeller has left the water.
TECHNICAL DATA
Data for guidance only, depending on numerous factors (surfer's weight, board model, position on board, currents, wind, swell, etc.). Our data come from tests carried out in flat water, with a 70 kg rider on an 8' board.
INTELLIGENT ASSISTANCE THAT MAKES YOU FORGET
Motion Core is the first intelligent technological assistance designed specifically for surfing.
Adding electric assistance to a surfboard without distorting the very act of surfing poses a number of challenges. The motor has to be small but powerful, silent and waterproof. Years of research and development have enabled us to develop a motor that can be fully integrated into each of our boards, and which is invisible during use.
BATTERY ALERTS
On the water, the assistance system warns you when the battery is almost empty. This will allow you to return to the beach with the assistance before the battery is completely discharged.
Here are the different indications your board will give you:
15% remaining battery
Your board will emit a series of 6 "beeps" every two minutes of motor use. Depending on how far you are from the beach, we advise you to return to the shore a little.
10% battery remaining
The motor power will be reduced by 40% to enable you to maintain autonomy, and the series of 6 "beeps" will sound every minute the motor is running. We strongly advise you to return to the beach to change the battery or recharge it.
3% battery remaining
The motor will be switched off with no possibility of restarting it. You will hear a long "beep" (four seconds). You must return to shore unassisted and recharge your battery as soon as possible, otherwise its performance will be severely degraded.
